eBay Expands Circular Fashion Fund with $1.2M Investment by 2025—Apply by November 15
Calling all tech startups and innovators!
eBay announced today the global expansion of its Circular Fashion Fund, aimed at supporting innovative startups that promote sustainability within the fashion industry.
Initially launched in the UK in 2022, the fund will now extend to the United States, Germany, and Australia, with a commitment to invest $1.2 million in circular fashion initiatives by the end of 2025.
The Circular Fashion Fund is designed to help small businesses and tech startups scale circular solutions, from garment care and recycling programs to rental and repair services.
In the US, the Circular Fashion Fund will launch in collaboration with the CFDA, offering a $50,000 cash prize to the winner, while two runner-ups will each receive $25,000. All finalists will gain access to mentoring sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities to help them grow their businesses and expand their impact.
Additionally, eBay Ventures will select one global winner as the “Circular Fashion Innovator of the Year,” awarding an additional $300,000 investment.
We’re excited to announce that our founder, Brittany Sierra, will be a judge for the competition, joining a panel of leaders in fashion, academia, and sustainability, including Kirsty Keoghan, Global GM of Fashion at eBay, Steven Kolb, CEO of CFDA, and John Bartlett, Director of Parsons Fashion Executive & Professional Studies.
Innovative tech startups and small businesses looking to scale their circular fashion solutions can apply for the Circular Fashion Fund through eBay’s website at ebay.com/CFFApply.
Applications are open until November 15, 2024, offering a unique opportunity for businesses to gain financial backing and mentorship to advance their sustainable fashion initiatives.
